In May 2019, GET Nepal successfully conducted 10 days long homestay training under Sustainable Tourism Initiative in GRE Village of Rasuwa. As a result, in Nov 2019, 5 homestays were inaugurated and were in the process of the registration how ever COVID adversely impacted the entire tourism sector including the GRE Community Homestay.
The GET team visited Gre village on 13 June 2022 to find out the ways to support Gre Community Homestay and coordinate with local government of Amachedingmo Rural Municipality for sustainable tourism develpoment in Gre village. We had a focal group discussions with local women leaders, local people of Gre, local government authorities.
