After a week of long leadership bootcamp, Hitaishis got back to their community and refined their project according to the community needs. Team Dang pitched the “Project Aawaj” which focuses on creating dialogues against gender-based violence.
“Project Aawaj” is a one whole day program conducted by our rural hitaishi Elisha Khadka for secondary level student of Jana Jyoti Secondary School
Elisha conducted an intensive workshop on gender-based violence with 82 students. This session was provided to address the prevalent domestic violence and GBV issues of the community. The workshop covered what abuses and violence is, how to be an ally for a violence survivor and how to address such issues to the concerned authorities. The workshop received a lot of positive affirmations from the teachers, students and community member.
